7 of 9 WASD Odyssey of the Mind Teams Headed to State Tournament

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (MARCH 6, 2017) — Congratulations to the seven of nine Williamsport Area School District Odyssey of the Mind teams that are moving on to the state round after competing at the Regional Tournament in Berwick on Saturday.
Those teams moving on to the state tournament are:
Cochran Primary School
  • Second Place: Division I, Classics, coached by Chelsea Cramer and Rachel Kirk:  Cooper Gutberlet, Lily Hamilton, Corbin Kirk, Morgan Morse, Noah Scholnick, Daniel Turner and Ruby Watts
  • Second Place: Division I, Technical, coached by Becky Ciabattari and Dave Richards: Olivia Ciabattari, William Ciabattari, Parker Fox, Daequan Houston, Dylana Richards, Izzy Sanders and Maddie Sanders.  
Curtin Intermediate School
  • First Place: Division II, Technical, coached by Daphne Brinkerhoff and Bryn Allen: Braedon Brinkerhoff, Kristen Goodman, Landon Hetrick, Alexis Mann, Aviel Myers, Sydney Smith and Brandon Walter.
  • First Place: Division I, Theatrical, coached by Bret Southard: Olivia Ciabattari, Reese Kirk, Ross Mahler, Alanna Ramos, Lilyana Sponhouse, Muireann Tran and Tyler Williamson
Lycoming Valley Intermediate School
  • Second Place: Division II, Classics, coached by Beth Lewis: Mia Clark, Kendall Kelley, Sydney Kelley, Lisa Lewis, Ben Manetta, Kendall McAnelly and Sarah Spring
Williamsport Area High School
  • First Place: Division III, Theatrical, coached by Spring Moore: Jake Belford, Lily Day, Logan Mayer, Emily Smith, Matthew Turner, Lila Vogelsong and Michael Woodward
  • First Place: Division III, Classics, coached by Spring Moore and Heather LeBlanc: Charlotte DeBloois, Paige Diabelko, Hannah Haussmann, Deidre LeBlanc, Ariyana Stafford, Carlee Weber and Madison Williamson
The state tournament will be held on April 1 in Moon, Pa. 
There were two teams from Cochran and Lycoming Valley that also participated, but will not be moving on to states. Those teams results are the following:
lvisteam Cochran Primary School 
  • Fourth Place: Division I, Theatrical, coached by Nicole Sailor and Melanie Vail: Emily Frank, Brayden Harpster, Humphrey Sailor, Alex Vail and Eli Weaver.
Lycoming Valley Intermediate School
  • Sixth Place: Division II, Theatrical, coached by Melissa Jenkins: Emileah Bird, Noah Eroh, Mia Jenkins, Mia Miller, Kyah Street, Kieran Varner and Aliyah Wright.
