You are the key to our success! Membership to the Cochran School Association is free and open to any parent or guardian of a Cochran student. To join, simply attend a meeting or participate in an event. You may also volunteer to serve on one of our committees. A list of our committees is on this website and a committee sign-up form will be sent home with your child at the beginning of the school year. Our first meeting is on September 10, 2007, 7:00 p.m., in the school library.
This year, we are making it easier than ever for you to have up-to-date information. Provide us your email address to receive reminders about upcoming events, newsletters, minutes of meetings and photographs of school events. Up-to-date information will be posted on this website, and a monthly newsletter will be sent home with each student.
Although we do conduct activities that do not profit our organization, we must raise funds in order to continue providing the quality assembly programs and fieldtrips that have been traditionally offered at Cochran. More than 60% of our budget is expended on assembly programs, fieldtrips and a visiting children’s author. Two product fundraisers are our primary sources of funding. We supplement them by participating in corporate Cash Back Programs, two Scholastic Book Fairs, the annual Cochran Carnival, and a customized brick drive. This year, we are selling personalized note cards that will feature your child’s artwork.
