APRIL 12, 2016 — The Curtin Intermediate School orchestra recently traveled to Hershey to perform a 45-minute program for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) State Conference. The 33-member chamber orchestra, made up of fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade students, was selected to perform at the event through an audition process of more than 142 applicants.

MARCH 20, 2016 — WAHS student-athlete Jerah Reeves was the recipient of a National Football Foundation High School Scholar-Athlete Award today in State College. The award has become one of the most prestigious and competitive high school academic honors in the country.
MARCH 16, 2016 — Kindergarten through sixth-grade students enrolled in the James V. Brown Library's 2016 Summer Reading Program will have the opportunity in July to meet author Trinka Hakes Noble and learn from her on how to create their own published children's book.
